Search (second icon) finds any card, and adds it to your collection with one tap. The orange camera button in the middle scans cards: ID scan to add them, PRO Scan to turn one of yours into a 3D card. Wishlists (fourth icon) are your lists of cards you still want. Me (last icon) holds your profile, About me, Friends, your storage places, Personalization, Help and FAQs. Each tab keeps its own place, so you can switch between them without losing where you were.

A raw card has a condition: Near Mint, Lightly Played, Moderately Played, Heavily Played or Damaged. Or leave it as Not recorded. A graded slab has a grading company (PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC, TAG or ACE) and a grade. You can add the cert number too. A card is either raw or graded, never both. Switching one on clears the other. A quick add, an ID scan and a pack opening start each card at Near Mint. Change it on the card if yours isn’t. The price you see for a copy is for its own condition or grade.

Tap the share button at the top, next to Edit . Choose where to send it. A card with a PRO Scan goes as a link to its own web page; any other card as a picture. A picture shows the card (its PRO Scan’s photo if it has one, otherwise the catalog picture), its name, set, grade or condition and one line of its story. It is made on your phone and never shows a price, what you paid or your Sell or trade mark. A link opens a web page anyone can see, even without Cardkept: your PRO Scan to tilt and flip, the card’s details, its market price and its story. It never shows what you paid or your marks. Press and hold the share button to send a PRO Scan as a picture instead, or to switch its link off. Each card has one link.

Master set counts every version: holo and reverse holo, 1st Edition and Unlimited, stamps, patterns and secret rares, so Base Set is 308. Main set counts one of each card number up to the set’s printed size, so Base Set is 102: secret rares and extra versions don’t count, and nor do extras with their own numbering, like Generations’ Radiant Collection. Your collection comes as a spreadsheet (CSV), one row per card you own: the card, its condition or grade, your Favorite and Sell/Trade marks, where it’s kept, how you got it and what you paid, your notes, and its market price, in your currency, with the market, date, and the original figure and exchange rate behind it. Your cards’ stories come as a second spreadsheet, one row per moment. Each opens the share sheet, so you can save it to Files, AirDrop it, email it or open it in Numbers or Excel. Nothing is sent to us. A PDF is planned.

- Finding cards · Question Which languages are in the catalog? International (English-language), Japanese and, so far in part, Simplified Chinese. Japanese cards and sets are shown with their English… International (English-language), Japanese and, so far in part, Simplified Chinese. Japanese cards and sets are shown with their English names and a JP tag, and a card’s own page also shows its name as printed in Japanese. Search in English or Japanese (“Umbreon” finds ブラッキー) or pick a language under Language. A few Japanese cards have no English name in any source we use yet, so they show their Japanese name. Japanese cards are priced from sales of the Japanese card itself, never an English card’s, and newer ones often have a Near Mint price only, or none yet. Simplified Chinese is being added set by set, with a CN tag: 100 sets so far, from 2022 on, shown with their English names. Most Chinese cards’ own pages also show the name as printed in Chinese, and Search finds them by it. Chinese cards have no prices yet (none of our price sources has US sales of Chinese cards), and only about half have a rarity so far, read off the printed card, so the Rarity filter finds only those.

Every printing you can tell apart is its own card in Cardkept: holo and reverse holo, 1st Edition and Unlimited, a stamp, a pattern, a staff card. That way each one has its own price and counts properly towards a set.

It reads International and Japanese cards; Simplified Chinese ones only sometimes, so far. Free accounts get 30 ID scans a month, and the camera shows how many are left. Tap the orange camera button in the middle of the tab bar. ID scan is picked when the camera opens. Lay a card face up, filling most of the picture, in good light. Tap it to focus, then take the photo. Already have photos of your cards? Tap the photos button bottom right to pick them from your library. The camera button top right switches camera. The card drops into the pile bottom left and is read while you scan the next one. Scan as many as you like. Tap the pile to see your list. Each card starts as the version closest to your photo, in Near Mint. Tap Version or Condition to change them. Tap More versions to see every version of the card in big pictures and pick yours, or to choose a different card or search for it. Tap Remove to take a card off the list. Tap the button at the bottom (Add 3 cards to my collection, say). Every card is added, acquired today; change anything on each card’s own page. With Cardkept Pro, one photo can hold several cards: a binder page in its sleeves, or up to nine cards side by side, none overlapping. Each card gets its own row and counts as one scan.

Tap the… PRO Scan turns your own card into a 3D card that shines and tilts as you move your phone, with its real foil, sparkle and texture. Tap the orange camera button in the middle of the tab bar, pick PRO Scan above the shutter, then Start scanning. Step 1, Front photo: lay the card face up on a plain background in soft daylight. Tap the card to focus, then take the photo. Check the outline. If it is off, drag a corner. Then tap Use photo (or Retake). Step 2, Back photo: turn the card over and do the same. Step 3, Tilt scan: tap Start the tilt and tilt the card slowly in every direction for 10 seconds, keeping the whole card on screen. The big orange arrow points to the edge still to lift towards the phone, and the tilt runs on a few seconds while one edge has barely been tilted. Wait a moment while your phone builds Your PRO Scan. Tilt your phone to see it move. Tap Save to a copy I own, or Add a new copy, to keep it. Tap Tips & tricks on the front and tilt steps for lighting help. One light above you works best: a ceiling light or a lamp. Capture as little glare as you can: too much of it spoils the scan. A yellow glare warning means the light is reflecting off the card: tilt a little away from the light. You’ll still catch the foil. Hold the card flat on your palm for the tilt if you can. Shadows from your fingers can spoil the scan. Focus on capturing the card’s holo pattern. When it lights up, slow down and tilt back and forth over that angle. That’s what gives the best scan. If a photo is blurry or has a shine on it, the app asks you to retake it. A sharp photo makes a sharper PRO Scan. Keep your phone’s reflection off the card. If you can see your phone mirrored in a shiny card or its holo window, move a little to one side before you take the photo. The camera needs your permission. If you said no before, tap Open Settings and switch it on. If the tilt won’t make a good PRO Scan (too much glare, the card left the picture, or an edge was barely tilted), the app says why before building it: tap Tilt again, or Use it anyway. Your two photos are kept.

After the build, the card is shown under your PRO Scan with its market price. If it’s the wrong card, tap Not this card. Select its condition, then tap Save to your collection. It is added as a raw card you got today, with the PRO Scan on it. You can change anything on its page. Congratulations! Tap See it in my collection to find it in Collection, or PRO Scan another card. It finishes saving in the background, so you can close the scan straight away. Free accounts get 5 PRO Scans to start, then 1 a month. The camera shows how many are left. Scanning a copy again uses one too. Already have the card in your collection, as a raw card? Open the copy, tap Edit , then PRO Scan this card (Redo PRO Scan if it has one). A graded slab can’t be PRO Scanned. The scan goes straight onto that copy, its details untouched, and doesn’t use an ID scan, because the card is already known. A copy keeps one PRO Scan. Scanning it again replaces the old one, and its picture in your collection. A PRO Scan saved before October 18, 2026 keeps smaller photos, so Inspect shows less detail when you zoom in. Scan it again for sharper corners. If the signal drops, your PRO Scan waits on your phone and uploads by itself later. The copy’s page shows Try again if you want to nudge it.

If it has a PRO Scan, it shows first. Swipe sideways for the catalog picture. Tilt your phone to move the card. Tap it to flip it. Press and hold, then drag, to tilt it with your finger. Tap PRO Scan (the sliders, beside Inspect) to change the foil strength, the sparkle, the light and more. Tap Save my settings when you like it. Tap Inspect to see it flat, front and back, as it was photographed, with no shine added. Pinch to zoom, double-tap to zoom in or out, or tap a corner to jump to it. The Kind settings button (for example Holo settings) puts everything back to that kind’s starting look. In Collection, Sort and filter, Scans, PRO Scan shows only the cards that have a PRO Scan.

PRO Scan makes a 3D copy of your very card, with its own foil, sparkle, texture and every mark, to tilt and flip on your phone. It works out which card it is too, from the front photo, so you can add it in one tap. Both are on the orange camera button in the middle of the tab bar.

On a card worth $100 or more where TCGplayer and eBay are three times apart, eBay’s, unless TCGplayer’s rests on at least 10 recent sales, or eBay’s is more than 30 days old while TCGplayer’s isn’t. Tap More prices to see every market, with its averages over the last day, week and month, and the cheapest copy for sale on each.

If a grade has never been recorded selling (common for rarer slabs, like a BGS 10), the card says No price data rather than borrow another grade’s price, and it’s left out of your collection value.

It’s an asking price, not a sale, so it never counts towards your collection value, and a real sale price replaces it once one is recorded.

Some older Japanese cards were printed as a 1st Edition and an Unlimited, and some of their sales don’t say which edition sold. Where a… Some older Japanese cards were printed as a 1st Edition and an Unlimited, and some of their sales don’t say which edition sold. Where a card has no sale of its own edition, it shows those sales instead: a guide that could be either edition, never counted in your collection value, and replaced by a sale of that edition once one is recorded.

It shows that price named for its condition, like “Lightly Played · no Near Mint sale recorded”, never as a Near Mint price. Your own copy is always priced at its own condition.

Cardmarket also sells a card’s 1st Edition and Unlimited as one item, so on a card printed in both, its cheapest copy may be either edition, except Base Set, where Cardmarket sells the early shadowless print, 1st Editions included, apart from the later Unlimited print, so a Base Set 1st Edition’s cheapest copy may be a shadowless one but never a later Unlimited.

Under Friends can see, switch each part on or off: Condition or grade, Favorite and Sell or trade, The story, What you paid, Where you keep it. Remove friend: you stop seeing each other’s PRO Scans, and either of you can ask again. Block: they can’t find you or ask again, and they aren’t told. Report: what you report disappears for you straight away, and Cardkept looks at it, normally within 24 hours.

If you can’t find one on a friend’s page, check that Share PRO Scans with friends is on (Me, Profile, Friends), that the card has a PRO Scan, and that Cardkept hasn’t taken it off friends’ pages after a report. You decide which card it is: if a scan was read as the wrong card, change the card on the copy and friends see your choice.

If you reach this month’s limit, the scan says so and when it resets. If Pro ends, you keep everything you added, and your saved PRO Scans stay viewable. Only new PRO Scans past the free allowance, and the other Pro extras, stop.

Friends you accept see your PRO Scans, opened the way your own copy screen shows them: the card, its condition or grade, its market price, your Favorite and Sell or trade marks, its story, what you paid and where you keep it, and your name, handle and profile picture. You can keep any of those details except the market price from friends in Profile, under Friends can see. They never see your email, your wishlists, your pack openings or a card without a PRO Scan. And a card you share yourself: a picture goes only where you send it, and a link shows that one card to whoever has it, until you switch the link off. Pack openings are counted in each set’s totals without your name.
